BEEHIVE FOUNDATION PARTNERSHIP
Beaconsfield JFC are excited to announce that we will be partnering with the Beehive Foundation. Over a 3-year period they will work with our coaching teams to build positive experiences for players and club volunteers alike. In what will be an extensive and innovative development program, the coaching team will be empowered to continue to build a fair and safe environment within the club that will help develop important life skills in young players to help them achieve their full potential both on and off the field.

Details:DraftStar are the official high performance talent partner of the AFL. They assist with identifying and developing athletic talent nationwide. DraftStar have also teamed up with Rookie Me and are the official verification body. They assess and enter each athlete’s testing results, which allow us to maintain data integrity. Rookie Me have created an online training tool in which athletes can compare their physical abilities and most of all, learn how to improve. After a successful testing day in December 2014 at MSAC in Melbourne (here is a little clip of the day - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0TzKIfbnZ4&feature=youtu.be), where over 300 athletes from across Victoria went through all AFL Combine testing events, we’re now excited and committed to take this opportunity to all parts of Victoria. We will be coming to the Dandenong region to provide a free testing day at the Dandenong Basketball Stadium on Tuesday the 27th of January 2015.
Merchandise, Registration day will be held on Sunday 15th of February from 10.00am to 1.00pm at Holm Park Reserve.
This is a great opportunity to purchase any club merchandise prior to the season starting.
Please note all game day apparel must have the SEJ logo, as this is now compulsory.
All registrations must be completed online however this is an opportunity to pay fees if you haven’t already done so, which need to be paid by the 22nd of February.
If you have any old outgrown football boots at home that you are happy to give away there will be a box where you can drop them off for other parents to purchase at $5 per pair (which will be donated to the club). Any boots left over will be donated to a charity by the club on your behalf.
To all Beaconsfield junior football club parents and friends.
As you know we have carried out an extensive search for a volunteer to take on the role of club secretary as Nicole is retiring from the role. Unfortunately to date no one has come forward to offer their help and take on this role for the club.
As time is running out and we cannot function without a secretary, we have been forced into a decision to allow us to hopefully achieve our goal and appoint a suitable candidate.
The Beaconsfield junior football club will now offer this position to all suitable candidates and will offer an honorary payment for the secretary services as a financial compensation for the role. This amount can be discussed at the interview process.
We need candidates to come forward NOW!!!! or we cannot function.
If you feel you may be able to fill this role please contact myself or Nicole ASAP!!!. Ian Houghton 0423072666 or Nicole Sheppard 0401595334.
As we are a not for profit organization, unfortunately these costs moving forward will need to be considered in our future registration fees.
We have many volunteers that help run our club for the benefit of all of your children and unfortunately if we cannot get volunteers we need to appoint candidates with Honorary payments. This is possible in many cases but will affect all of your future registration fees.
Myself and many other parents volunteer our time to run our club in an attempt to keep our costs down and to allow your children to play football as cheaply as possible – that is our mantra for volunteering.
With many other sports in the area charging upwards of $500 per year in registration fees alone I think you will all agree we have worked very hard to keep our costs down and pass these savings on to our families, whilst providing you all with possibly the best facilities in the area for your children’s chosen sport.
Without parent volunteers rolling up your sleeves and chipping in these costs cannot remain as they are.
So in summary we desperately need someone to fill the role of secretary, either in a volunteer capacity (preferred) or we will offer an honorary payment to the successful applicant (agreed to upon appointment).
Once again this is your club here for the benefit of your children and we need your help.
Finally with 400 plus registrations already and looking forward we are expecting to accommodate closer to 500 children this season. I must assume that we have somewhere in the region of 1000 parents involved with our club and we are asking for 1 person to come forward and help I would like to think we can achieve this. We have a few other committee roles still available to fill also so please come forward and contact us ASAP!!!! to help your club.
